Acrobat’s Email Review Process
If you work with PDF files and collaborate with others through email you may want to consider Acrobat’s Email Review feature. This feature allows you to use Acrobat’s commenting tools and oversee email collaboration as it’s going on. To start a review:
- Open a PDF and go to Comments > Attach for Email Review
- Type in your email address (and other personal info if you want)
- Click Next and then type in email addresses for the people in the review. After each email address, press enter or return.
- Click Next, preview the review email, and then click Send Invitation.
- From here, you may have to set up some Internet preferences.
- When the other reviewers receive your PDF they will be able to add comments and email them back to you.
- Note that users with Reader can also take part in the review, but they will need version 7 or 8.

When I open file management or outlook software, Adobe Acrobat 8.1.1 comes up and tries to load new software upgrades. It takes 8 stop attempts to get them to go away.
I do not want Adobe changing my software without my knowing what is changing. I may have some feature in 8.1.0 that I depend upon, and they are changing it. I have no clue how to stop this invasion into my work space. Do you have any suggestions.
It is not just that it is an upgrade, but they are interupting my work and computer time and inserting their upgrade in my already busy work day. They they insist on a reboot which may further cause irritating problems. When I am trying to get a backup before the whole thing crashes, here comes Adobe inserting thier idea of what is most important and it may prevent a good backup before I crash and blue screen.
Just when I thought I has a good piece of software, they go frantic on me.
I am just minding my own business, and I open outlook or a new message in outlook, I have copied a file to be pasted into the new message I want to send to Ron O, and here comes an installer box, and a progress bar, and installing Adobe Upgrade 8.1.1, and I click cancel and it starts up again…. eight times until it goes away, then the document I copied to include in the email is gone, and I have to start over again. This is real irritation.
