How to Update Acrobat

There are two ways to update Acrobat. One way is by opening Acrobat and going to Help > Check for Updates. I have found that this method doesn’t always work correctly. As a safer solution you can download the updates manually. First let’s check which version of Acrobat you have:

  1. Open Acrobat and go to Help > About Adobe Acrobat (or Acrobat > About Acrobat on Mac).
  2. There you’ll see a version number like 8.0.
  3. Next go to the Adobe site below and check for a more recent update like 8.1.

You will have to save the updates to your computer and then install them.
