Introduction to Preflight

Acrobat’s Preflight feature is used for print production and other purposes. It lets you analyze PDF files and look for problems with fonts. It also allows you to validate documents to see if they meet PDF standards like PDF/A for archiving. To open Preflight, open a PDF and go to Advanced > Preflight. Here you’ll see various preflight profiles that can be used to evaluate PDF documents. If you don’t want to use one of the existing profiles, you can create your own or modify one of the original profiles. In general, Preflight is a good way to make sure your document is ready for printing, archiving, or distributing.
